Primorsk Mining Companies Launch Altan Digital Safety Platform
The system is designed to minimize workplace accidents.
Primorskugol and Luchegorsky Coal Mine have implemented Altan (digital safety platform), a new digital system designed to reduce workplace injuries.
The platform brings all aspects of employee safety management into a single system. Its primary goal is zero injuries, creating working conditions in which workplace accidents become virtually impossible.
Safety professionals at the open-pit mines use a mobile app to interact with the system. The app includes a set of required checklists and lets employees photograph safety violations and upload the images directly to the database. The system automatically logs violations, generates work orders to address them, identifies recurring problems and their root causes, and maintains a register of hazardous workplace situations.
Particular attention is paid to monitoring worker behavior. Ultimately, the system is intended to help employees develop a strong safety culture.
