Ozon Automates Tax Reporting for Sellers
Ozon has launched a free service with Russia’s Federal Tax Service (FTS) for sellers using the automated simplified tax system. The service prepares data for tax calculations and submits it directly to the tax authority through the seller’s account.

The service calculates net settlements, taking into account commissions deducted from sellers’ revenue, marketplace services, returns, and other expenses. Ozon compiles the information between the 3rd and 9th of each month based on closing documents and sends it to the FTS electronically.
The data is sent to the tax authority only with the seller’s consent. Before submission, sellers can review the calculations, and they can disable automatic data transfer at any time.
“The service automates the settlement process required for tax calculations, prepares a report, and, with the seller’s consent, submits it directly to the FTS through the seller’s account on the platform. This is the first integration of its kind among Russian marketplaces,” the company said in a statement.
