Russia has completed training for the first group of students enrolled in a federal educational module focused on digital competencies, the Russian government said. The courses launched in September 2025 at colleges in Krasnodar, Yoshkar-Ola, Yakutia, and Ulyanovsk.

Students learned how to use key digital tools now applied in the construction industry, including the Tsifrovoy kontrol stroitelstva (Digital Construction Control) platform from DOM.RF and software products developed by ASCON. They also studied building information modeling technologies and artificial intelligence. The training was built around practical tasks and individual learning paths tailored to each student’s level of preparation.

A New Urban Environment

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said it is important that future builders and engineers begin mastering modern technologies and software while still in college.

“Given that the vocational education system today provides a significant share of the young specialists entering the construction sector, projects like this are expected to play an important role in renewing the workforce and improving the quality of graduate training,” he said.

Alexey Nidens, first deputy CEO of DOM.RF, added that the priority is to train specialists who will introduce innovation in residential construction and help shape a new urban environment.
