AI to Protect Sellers on Russian Marketplace
Wildberries & Russ has introduced an AI-powered fraud prevention system that blocks up to 87% of fraudulent activities in real time, replacing manual moderation.
The marketplace’s security team developed the new anti-fraud tool to safeguard sellers from scams. Powered by machine learning models with more than 5,000 parameters, the system draws on aggregated user behavior data and ecosystem-level inputs from Beeline.
During testing, the AI system detected and blocked 87% of fraudulent attempts. In production, it continues to monitor activities in real time, flagging suspicious cases and blocking threats automatically while alerting staff when additional checks are needed.
Earlier, the marketplace also rolled out a “Client Fitting” feature, which allows shoppers to virtually try on clothing using their own photos.
