Russia Boosts Industrial Cybersecurity with New Monitoring Tech

A new domestic system will safeguard critical infrastructure from digital threats at every level.
A new product from Positive Technologies is set to revolutionize cybersecurity across Russian industrial sectors. Rather than just inspecting traffic, the system covers all essential nodes in the infrastructure. Software installations, USB device usage, and other adjustments are closely monitored which reduces opportunities for hackers to disrupt or halt operations.
The upgraded security platform maps out the entire infrastructure and tracks all running processes. It monitors internal activity across the network and can flag any unauthorized access attempts—such as when an employee tries to interact with hardware beyond their clearance level.
The system aims to close security gaps that attackers might exploit and promises a comprehensive shield against interference in industrial operations.
