Russia Rolls Out Domestic AI Servers to Replace Foreign Tech

Russian tech holding Rosel has launched mass production of AI-ready servers, aiming to replace foreign hardware in factories and data centers and strengthen the country’s technological independence.

Rosel announced the serial production of a new line of servers designed for artificial intelligence and big data applications. The launch marks a key step toward technological self-sufficiency, providing an alternative to imported hardware for industrial enterprises and data centers.

The equipment is fully designed and manufactured in Russia at the Research Center for Electronic Computing Technology. Company officials emphasize that the entire cycle — from design to warranty service — is completed domestically.

According to the developer’s press office, three models will be rolled out by the end of the year: a universal server, a storage system server, and a high-performance model built specifically for AI and neural networks. All are engineered for reliability and nonstop operation.

The production run is already backed by preorders from state and commercial clients. The servers will soon be added to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s official registry and undergo required certification.

The shift from one-off prototypes to large-scale production signals a new phase for Russia’s high-tech industry, expanding opportunities for both industry and infrastructure.
