Russian Cybersecurity Firm Updates Attack Simulation Platform

Positive Technologies has rolled out a major update to its MaxPatrol Carbon 25.6 platform, expanding attack scenarios and giving IT teams sharper tools to defend corporate networks.

The new release now accounts for 58 percent more combinations of hacker tactics and techniques. It also introduces attack scenarios like Kerberoasting and Active Directory exploitation.

Beyond simulation, the update adds recommendations for network segmentation and account management—measures aimed at reducing risks from excessive user privileges inside organizations.

Threat prioritization has also been refined, weighing both the complexity and duration of attacks to help security teams tackle the most critical issues first. Simulated attack runs are faster too, thanks to enhanced route visualization, automated target detection, and built-in reporting with tailored recommendations. Taken together, these features improve cyber resilience and accelerate the work of enterprise security specialists.
