Russian Company Creates ‘Cybersecurity Cloud’

A St. Petersburg firm has successfully tested a Security Capsule SIEM system in Selectel’s cloud, paving the way for a managed cybersecurity service model in Russia.

The company, Innovative Technologies in Business, announced the successful completion of trials for its Security Capsule SIEM cybersecurity monitoring system. The testing took place in the cloud infrastructure of Selectel, Russia’s largest independent IT provider.

The trials confirmed that the solution is ready to operate under the Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) model, where a specialized vendor delivers cybersecurity as a service from the cloud. This model gives clients key advantages: avoiding large upfront hardware investments and scaling resources flexibly as business grows.

Selectel’s infrastructure complies with strict Russian regulatory standards. For the most highly secured environments, including the State Information System K1 classification (the highest protection tier), the solution can be deployed in a certified cloud segment. Load testing showed the system can process up to 30,000 events per second without data loss.

Each customer can be provided with an isolated virtual segment and a personalized control panel, while the developer’s centralized monitoring center in St. Petersburg oversees all clients and responds rapidly to threats.

The successful tests open new opportunities for Russia’s market to leverage modern, affordable cloud services in the field of cybersecurity.
