A Russian Company Has Developed a Digital Platform to Guide Young People Into Industrial IT

Russian developers have launched a new interactive career-navigation platform designed to guide young people into high‑tech industrial IT roles, from their first school courses to employment in advanced engineering companies.

A New Digital Pathway Into Industrial Tech

Gazprom Neft introduced an interactive educational navigator at the “Digital Solutions” exhibition in Moscow — a virtual simulator that helps young people map out future career trajectories in industrial IT. Students can choose among key directions including IT infrastructure development, complex systems management, cybersecurity, and AI or computer vision engineering.

An Ecosystem Built for Long-Term Growth

The project spans four sequential stages of preparation, forming a continuous learning pipeline. The “School League” teaches the fundamentals of logic and digital skills. The “College League” focuses on applied tools, while the “University League” introduces Python programming, Data Science, and machine learning. The final stage — corporate training — immerses participants in real business challenges at Gazprom Neft.

As Oleg Tretyak, the company’s Chief Digital Transformation Officer, explained, “Our career navigator helps young talent find their place in the IT landscape of the future. We invest in those who are ready to transform the industry, showing how their skills become the key to tomorrow’s success.”

By uniting more than 80 educational institutions across Russia, the initiative forms an ecosystem to develop specialists for one of the country’s most technologically advanced industries.
