Russian telecom software developer VAS Experts will begin exporting its solutions to the South African market. Willcom will act as integrator, taking on deployment, distribution, and technical support of the products. The solutions being distributed include the SKAT platform. The company expects to work with both fixed-line and mobile operators.
Specialists note that South Africa's telecom market is developing rapidly. Vodacom alone saw data traffic grow by almost 40% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026. More than 80% of subscribers use prepaid plans, and operators are actively selling packages tailored to specific apps and messengers. Russian DPI systems are well suited to addressing the challenges this creates.
