Russian Cancer Clinic Uses YandexGPT to Accelerate Patient Research

An oncology center in St. Petersburg is cutting clinical document processing time from weeks to hours by integrating artificial intelligence.
The N.N. Petrov National Medical Research Center of Oncology in St. Petersburg has dramatically accelerated its clinical research workflows thanks to AI. Documents that once took weeks to process can now be handled in just a few hours.
The breakthrough comes from the integration of YandexGPT, a neural network that can analyze hundreds of pages in seconds, identify inconsistencies and errors, and suggest corrections. This not only reduces the workload for medical staff but significantly shortens the wait time for patients seeking access to critical treatments—especially important in oncology, where delays can compromise outcomes.
Officials noted that this AI technology is expected to be adopted in other hospitals and could expand into sectors beyond healthcare, including government services, banking, insurance, and any field requiring rapid document review.
