Russia’s Rosatom to Share Quantum Technologies With Neighboring States
The Russian nuclear corporation is expanding international cooperation in high tech, from artificial intelligence and quantum computing to nuclear medicine.
Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and representatives from Tajikistan have agreed to deepen cooperation in advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing. The corresponding “roadmaps” were signed during an official visit by a Tajik delegation.
According to Alexey Likhachev, Rosatom’s Director General, Tajikistan has shown “a very strong appetite” for modern technology. “We have found vast space for joint development programs,” he emphasized.
Peaceful Atom for the Whole Planet
Another major area of cooperation will be nuclear medicine, which Likhachev said is essential for the future of healthcare. Beyond collaboration with Tajikistan, Rosatom continues to promote openness in high technology across dozens of countries.
Recently, Russia announced the creation of an international consortium for collaborative research at the MBIR multipurpose fast neutron research reactor. Another global initiative involves a control system for small modular nuclear power plants (SMRs), powered by a digital twin. Such reactors, Rosatom says, have the potential to transform national economies.
