Russian Companies Export IT Solutions to BRICS+ and SCO Countries

Russian IT companies are expanding internationally, delivering cybersecurity systems, optical technologies, and smart medical solutions to markets across BRICS+ and the SCO

Russian IT solutions are increasingly being exported abroad, according to Natalia Popova, public ombudsman for the protection of high‑tech companies and First Deputy Director of Innopraktika, in an interview with "Vedomosti".

“We are not simply copying foreign experience — we are creating new formats of cooperation, such as technological hubs and platforms,” she emphasized.

Popova noted that the company T8 is already supplying communication technologies and optical systems to government customers across Africa. The company manufactures wavelength‑division multiplexing telecommunications equipment and innovative solutions for optical communication networks and data centers. Another firm, Zecurion — recognized globally by industry analysts — has been developing corporate cybersecurity solutions for more than 20 years.

Motorika, developer of bionic prosthetics for adults and children, has opened an office in India and plans to expand into South Asian markets.

Hubs for High Achievement

According to Popova, expansion into BRICS+ and SCO markets has become a strategic priority. A technology hub has already opened in Xiamen, China, and another will soon launch in New Delhi, India.

A joint Russian‑Indian high‑tech platform has been created, and this year Russia’s Higher School of Economics (HSE) and the University of Delhi agreed to collaborate on space‑data transmission technologies.

Popova highlighted that Russia’s innovation model focuses on technological sovereignty and nurturing “national champions with the potential for global leadership.”
