Russian Companies Gain a Path to Domestic Software Without Disrupting Operations
Russian software developer EMDEV has introduced a two-way synchronization technology that lets businesses migrate from Microsoft SharePoint to a domestic platform gradually, keeping both systems running simultaneously and reducing the risk of downtime or data loss.

One of the biggest challenges in moving away from the Microsoft ecosystem is the transition period, when different departments operate in different systems at the same time. EMDEV's approach supports a hybrid operating mode: some employees continue using SharePoint while others work in the new portal, with changes to records and requests synchronized automatically between the two systems in real time. That helps prevent duplicate entries, the loss of up-to-date information, and operational disruptions.
According to Kakunin, the technology creates a secure hybrid environment that turns migration from an IT shock into a manageable business process.
