Russian Developers Show How AI Will Help People Listen, Record, and Shop

Yandex has unveiled new devices and use cases for artificial intelligence in everyday life in a new podcast format.

Russia has launched YaC 2025 AI Edition, a new take on Yandex’s annual project that highlights how artificial intelligence is already being used in daily life and professional work. This year’s edition comes as a video podcast and focuses less on technical details and more on the practical benefits of AI for users.

AI for Everyone

The spotlight is on real-world use cases. The episode explains how AI technologies are helping lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and everyday users. Yandex neural networks are already being used to analyze MRI scans of infants’ brains, while Alice AI helps people prepare for trips, plan tasks, and organize information.

New Devices Powered by Alice

One of the key premieres was the launch of AI-powered Yandex Drops headphones and a voice recorder with Alice Pro. The headphones allow users to interact with the voice assistant at any time and capture ideas and reminders on the go. The “My Memory” feature organizes recordings and makes it easy to retrieve specific information. Sales of the device are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. The AI recorder is designed for meetings and lectures – it transcribes audio, produces summaries, and answers questions based on the content.

Find Cheaper

Yandex also opened early access to new Alice AI features. The “Find Cheaper” agent analyzes offers from stores and marketplaces to help users identify better prices, while the “Explore” mode is used to prepare in-depth analytical materials, business plans, and projects.

City Services Controlled by Voice

Alice AI has also been integrated into the Yandex Go app, where it helps users manage city services by voice. Meanwhile, the Yandex Market AI agent has gained voice interaction support and enhanced product recommendations.

YaC 2025 AI Edition also looks inside Yandex’s technologies, covering autonomous trucks and new generations of delivery robots. The project is available on the YaC website and across major video platforms.
