Russian Regions Strengthen Ties in Robotics Development
The partnership between Tatarstan and the Samara region aims to boost innovation and reinforce Russia’s scientific and industrial potential.
A delegation from the Samara regional government visited the Republic of Tatarstan to discuss expanding interregional cooperation in science and advanced technology, with a special focus on robotics.
During the visit, Samara officials toured Innopolis University, Tatarstan’s flagship IT and robotics training center. University representatives not only shared their experience but also praised Samara’s plans to establish a new campus dedicated to unmanned robotic systems. The two sides discussed Samara’s participation in Innopolis’s national competition to create industrial robotics centers, as well as opportunities for sharing best practices.
Mark Shleenkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Samara region, noted Tatarstan’s leading role in scientific and technological development. To continue the collaboration, a return visit by Tatarstan’s academic representatives to Samara is already being planned.
