Russian Students Build Chatbot to Support Rural Youth

A new digital assistant aims to guide young people in Russia’s countryside through career choices, education opportunities, and government support programs

In the Chelyabinsk region, students have developed a chatbot called 'Bot from the Village,' designed to help rural youth navigate professional and educational pathways. The tool was unveiled at the 'Agro-2025' expo in Chelyabinsk.

According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the chatbot is tailored for those interested in contributing to the development of rural communities. It provides guidance on choosing in-demand professions, applying to universities, and accessing grants, subsidies, and other government support opportunities.

The platform also allows users to receive personalized consultations from experts with the Russian Union of Rural Youth.

Developed by local students, the chatbot addresses key challenges: motivating young people to remain in rural areas and attracting skilled professionals to the agricultural sector. Its rollout highlights how digital tools can drive rural development and improve quality of life in the countryside.
