Russian Scientists Advance IT Integration in Nuclear Sector

At a national Rosatom conference, over 200 experts gathered to discuss how AI, quantum computing, and domestic software are reshaping Russia’s nuclear industry.

Russia’s Technical Academy of Rosatom hosted a major conference focused on IT implementation in the country’s nuclear sector. More than 200 leading scientists and technical experts participated in sessions on software administration, system upgrades, and the integration of AI into industrial operations.

Key topics included strategies to strengthen the domestic IT ecosystem, the rollout of Russian-made digital tools, and best practices for modernizing nuclear infrastructure. Participants also explored the use of AI, big data, and quantum computing in optimizing operations and increasing efficiency across the industry.

Evgeny Abakumov, a Rosatom representative, emphasized that the conference reflects Russia’s ongoing strategy to achieve technological self-sufficiency. He highlighted the role of cutting-edge technologies as foundational to innovation and national success in the nuclear field.
