Sochi Airport Hires an AI Assistant to Guide Passengers
The international airport in Sochi introduces a generative AI consultant to enhance navigation and customer experience.

Sochi International Airport, named after V. I. Sevastyanov and part of the Aerodynamics holding, has launched a new collaboration with Sber to bring cutting-edge artificial intelligence into daily airport operations. The AI assistant, known as GigaChat, is now part of the airport’s digital infrastructure, offering passengers real-time assistance and information.

Simplifying Passenger Experience
According to the airport’s press office, travelers can now ask the neural network for help with anything—from locating a mother-and-child room to finding the nearest information desk. To interact with the AI, visitors simply scan a QR code using their smartphone camera.
Future of Smart Airports
The airport also plans to conduct a series of studies to better understand passenger needs and satisfaction levels. This initiative marks another step in Russia’s broader adoption of AI-driven services, demonstrating how generative technologies can enhance convenience, efficiency, and accessibility in public infrastructure.
