Moscow’s AI Chatbot Now Answers Questions About Roads and Transit

The city’s “Alexandra” virtual assistant, powered by neural networks, has expanded its knowledge base to cover bus terminals, toll roads, and payment systems.

According to the city portal mos.ru, the chatbot “Alexandra” now uses AI to answer questions about bus stations, tickets, and international travel, as well as explain toll road rules and transponder use. Developers began integrating neural networks into the system in early 2025.

The assistant can also guide users through leaving feedback or suggestions, and explain features in the “Moscow Metro,” “Moscow Transport,” and official metro apps.

Today, more than 40% of its knowledge base is AI-enabled. The chatbot works across 10 platforms, from city websites to transport apps, messaging services, and social networks.

“We continue to roll out AI across our digital services in line with Moscow’s transport development strategy through 2030, approved by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin,” said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow’s deputy mayor for transport and industry.
