Russian Chemical Producer Launches Digital Training School for Industrial Workers

A new education platform developed with IT partners promises to lower accident risks in chemical production and boost workforce productivity.
Pigment, a major Russian producer of fine organic synthesis and polymer chemistry products, together with IT company RELEX, has created a new digital training platform for employees in the chemical industry. Unlike traditional methods, the system leverages digital technologies to deliver maximum clarity, immersion, and flexibility, enabling workers to learn at convenient times.
The project was built using modern software development tools: Java 21, TypeScript, the React library, and a PostgreSQL database. The platform is compatible with various operating system versions. It visually demonstrates assembly, maintenance, and operation of complex equipment, reducing the risks of errors and accidents. Workers have access to diagrams, animations, videos, and more. This convenient tool also boosts motivation, encouraging workers to pursue training and opening up new career opportunities.
Pigment is based in Tambov and is one of Russia’s leading chemical producers. RELEX, a well-known software developer, partnered in the project. Both companies plan to expand the digital education strategy, focusing on advanced digital solutions.
