Rostelecom has built and launched a new data center in Rostov-on-Don for the virtual mobile operator T-Mobile. The facility consists of 12 sealed server racks equipped with precision cooling systems, multilayer security measures, and guaranteed power supply.

The new data center will handle localization of the operator's traffic from Russia's southern regions. It is also expected to improve the stability of mobile services.

Each rack can accommodate up to 47 units of equipment and is connected to two independent power distribution lines, allowing support for a wide range of hardware. Power is backed by an uninterruptible power supply system. In the event of an external power outage, workloads are automatically transferred to batteries and backup power sources.

The security system meets commercial data center standards. Access to technical areas is restricted through biometric authentication and personal access cards. The facility is also equipped with round-the-clock video surveillance and sensors that monitor smoke, temperature, humidity, and water leaks, automatically alerting on-duty personnel to potential issues.
