Russian RDW Altai Server Passes Compatibility Tests With Secure Boot Protection System
Russian IT companies continue to improve compatibility between domestically developed hardware and information security tools. This is expected to allow customers to deploy new equipment with confidence that it is secured against malicious attacks.

RDW Technology recently announced that its RDW Altai A212T server is fully compatible with Safe Node System Loader, a trusted boot security tool developed by IT professionals at Gazinformservice.
Testing Across Every Key Stage
A trusted boot security tool is a critical part of protecting a computer or server. Integrated into the UEFI BIOS, it starts working before the operating system itself loads. It monitors the boot process, checks the integrity of the operating system and security software, and can block unauthorized or nonstandard operating systems from starting.
During testing, the RDW Altai A212T server and Safe Node System Loader were evaluated for protection against unauthorized access at every key stage of operation. The tests confirmed that the server prototype met all specified functional requirements while maintaining high performance under both operational and analytical workloads. The specialists involved say the combined solution will help keep systems running reliably and protect them against hacking attempts.

Combining Performance With Reliable Protection
The 2U RDW Altai A212T servers are built around two third-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and support up to 8 TB of RAM, with room for flexible configuration and future adaptation. The hardware also features 16 storage slots compatible with different types of drives.
Safe Node System Loader protects the hardware from the moment it is powered on, before the operating system starts. In effect, it provides the first line of defense for information security, working before other security mechanisms come into play.

Reducing Risks for Customers
“Server infrastructure security must begin before the operating system starts. That is why it is essential for us not only to expand Safe Node System Loader’s capabilities but also to test it on specific hardware platforms. Our joint testing with RDW Technology confirmed that the integrity-checking mechanisms and safeguards against booting unauthorized operating systems work correctly on the RDW Altai A212T server. For customers, this means they can choose a tested combination of hardware and security software, reduce the risk of compatibility issues during deployment, and build trusted boot mechanisms into their infrastructure from the design stage,” said Konstantin Khitrovo, product manager for Safe Node System Loader at Gazinformservice.

Expanding Compatibility Step by Step
Safe Node System Loader’s developers have been steadily expanding its compatibility with Russian-made hardware for several years. In 2024, the tool was confirmed to work correctly with the teamRAY 2122-2U-M server manufactured by the ICL Group. At the time, the companies highlighted the solution’s potential for information systems handling sensitive data, including biometric information. Compatibility was also confirmed that year with a range of ICL workstations.
The list of supported devices has continued to grow. In February 2026, Gazinformservice and Graviton confirmed that Safe Node System Loader worked correctly with the D52I and D32I personal computers. The companies signed a certificate documenting the test results.
The trend toward broader compatibility between Russian hardware and software security tools is likely to continue in the coming years. These solutions are particularly important for government agencies and large companies that are systematically moving away from foreign alternatives because of the risks associated with using them.
