Moscow Engineers Develop Ultra-Precise Cable Quality Control System
The new platform detects manufacturing deviations as small as 0.05 millimeters.

Moscow-based company MosITLab has unveiled a new hardware-and-software inspection system designed to precisely measure cable insulation thickness and geometry directly during the manufacturing process.
“The new system developed by a Moscow company provides continuous, real-time monitoring of the key parameters involved in cable production. For the industry as a whole, the introduction of this platform marks a new stage in digitalization and strengthens manufacturers' competitiveness in both domestic and international markets,” said Anatoly Garbuzov, a Moscow government minister and head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
The new equipment not only provides continuous product quality control and reduces manufacturing defects, but also significantly shortens the time required to configure many production processes. The system inspects products around their entire circumference with an accuracy of up to 0.05 millimeters, performing 360 measurements during each rotation of the scanning unit.
