Russia’s national messenger MAX now includes a “Digital ID” service that consolidates digital documents and federal services into one application for maximum convenience.
With this feature, MAX users can confirm their age, student status, or large-family membership without paper documents, using a simple QR code. This is especially useful at self-checkout terminals or when applying for benefits at government offices. Future updates will add more functions, such as hotel registration.
The innovation highlights Russia’s commitment to building secure domestic digital ecosystems. Backed by the Russian state, MAX ensures full data protection: information is stored on national servers, and communications are safeguarded with end-to-end encryption.
