Dagestan’s Digital Healthcare Solutions May Soon Scale Nationwide
AI-Based Diagnostics Are Moving From Regional Success to Federal Adoption

At the Third International Caspian Digital Forum in Kaspiysk, the Republic of Dagestan showcased its breakthrough in digital healthcare — a system that could soon expand across Russia. The project, called the “Automation System for Medical Centers and the Beauty Industry,” was developed at Dagestan State Technical University and has already been implemented in three clinics, where it has transformed daily operations through automation and AI-powered diagnostics.
A Unique AI Diagnostic Module
At the heart of the platform is a unique AI-based diagnostic module that integrates data from advanced medical devices, including high-end ultrasound systems. The software analyzes patient data to support faster and more accurate diagnoses, helping doctors deliver better care with fewer routine tasks.
The project’s success in Dagestan demonstrates how AI-driven healthcare solutions can operate effectively in real clinical settings — improving both accessibility and precision.
Makhmudov added that the team plans to return to next year’s Caspian Digital Forum to present new tools and best practices from Dagestan’s ongoing digital transformation in healthcare — a regional innovation now poised for national rollout.
