Unique AssistAgro Platform Boosts Crop Yields in Russia
The Russian-developed solution helps farmers monitor crop conditions and reduce costs.
The Geomir Group has announced the launch of its digital AssistAgro platform, marking a new stage in the development of its flagship product, Istoriya Polya (Field History). The platform analyzes data from agricultural enterprises and turns it into ready-to-use management decisions. The system is powered by 15 artificial intelligence models and precision farming modules.
From Field History to AssistAgro
Istoriya Polya was one of the first products in Russia to systematize agricultural production data, laying the groundwork for the sector’s digital transformation. The new AssistAgro platform combines years of farming experience with advanced technologies – artificial intelligence, machine vision, and computer modeling. It not only records what has been done, but also builds plans and generates forecasts.
Machine vision algorithms assess crop conditions, track weeds, and identify signs of disease using images from smartphones or drones, automatically providing farmers with recommendations on how to protect plants and preserve yields. Moreover, specialized algorithms can design optimal routes for agricultural machinery. The system automatically creates tasks and monitors how effectively they are carried out.
Toward a Unified Digital Platform
According to the developers, the next step in the product’s evolution will be a shift toward an ecosystem in which data, algorithms, and processes are integrated into a single digital platform.
AssistAgro has already demonstrated its effectiveness. Platform trials delivered strong results: fertilizer and crop protection chemical use declined, while yields increased. Smart logistics also helped reduce fuel costs.
Russian smart solutions for agriculture are seeing strong demand abroad as well. The AssistAgro platform is attracting growing interest from the global community.
