Pulkovo Airport Goes Fully Domestic With New ERP System
St. Petersburg’s main airport has replaced foreign enterprise software with a Russian-made ERP platform, a milestone in digital sovereignty and a rare example of complete import substitution in national infrastructure.
The IBS team implemented a comprehensive enterprise management system based on the “1C:Enterprise 8” platform for Air Gates of the Northern Capital, the company that operates Pulkovo Airport.
With this rollout, Pulkovo can now be considered fully import-substituted. Previously, its core business processes were managed with foreign-made software. Today, the operator runs on a domestic ERP platform that includes a specialized module to automate equipment maintenance and repair.
The transition from the foreign system took one year. The new ERP now covers more than 70 airport divisions, streamlining finance and accounting, resource planning, property management, and the servicing of specialized machinery and equipment. It also simplifies cooperation with tenants and airlines.
