Novaya Tekhnologicheskaya Liga, a resident of the Sirius Innovation Center, has launched a pilot project to introduce remote control of port cranes. The developers aim to adapt FPV (First Person View) technology for systemically important civilian projects in Russia.

The project is currently at the proof-of-concept stage, with testing underway at Imeretinsky Port. Specialists performed a 3D scan of the crane cabin and created a digital model of the operator's workstation. Based on this data, they developed an integrated hardware and software system in which physical controls, including levers, joysticks and pedals, were digitized and transferred to a virtual environment. The system has completed final calibration ahead of a series of remote cargo-lifting operations in the waters of the Sirius federal territory, and company specialists have begun operating the crane.

The developers say the technology could eventually transform logistics. Operators could remotely connect to cranes from anywhere in Russia, enabling cargo handling around the clock.
