Kaluga Region Reviews Digital Transformation in Agriculture
Deputy Agriculture Minister Maksim Uvaydov met with officials from Central Federal District regions to discuss expanding the use of digital technologies in farming.

A meeting in the Kaluga region focused on increasing the level of digital adoption across agricultural enterprises in the Central Federal District. Officials said sustainable growth in the sector is no longer possible without “smart” technologies.
In the Kaluga region, the use of drones in agriculture continues to expand. Unmanned systems are used to monitor crop conditions, while neural networks help optimize field operations by recommending fertilizer application. Artificial intelligence is also used to fine-tune livestock feeding processes.
IT specialists have now been tasked with developing a new digital platform that will integrate all information systems used in agriculture. The goal is to significantly simplify access to and use of technological services.
