New Novosibirsk Campus Is to Train Specialists in Medical Cybernetics
A major research and education hub for training IT professionals across multiple fields is being developed in Siberia’s capital.

Construction is underway in Novosibirsk on the region’s largest campus for scientific research and specialist training, including IT-focused disciplines. The first phase of the project has already been completed. Science and Higher Education Minister Valery Falkov reviewed the second phase during a site visit.
At the teaching and research center of the Institute of Medicine and Medical Biotechnology, students will study not only classical medical subjects, but also new fields such as medical cybernetics and industrial pharmacy. The campus will host Siberia’s largest simulation center for training future doctors, along with modern laboratories designed to solve practical, real-world tasks. The center is scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
Another facility, the campus’s research center, will focus on applying new technologies to medical and industrial challenges. Researchers will work in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, big data processing, and space and industrial instrumentation. The site will also train specialists for work at the Siberian Ring Photon Source shared-use center.
New Walls, New Directions
The second phase of the campus includes 40,000 square meters of space dedicated to science and education. One of the buildings already completed is a large lecture hall complex designed to accommodate up to 1,700 students.
