Technopolis Moscow Launches Production of LCD Navigation Displays
The displays are designed to withstand demanding operating conditions.
Production of double-sided liquid-crystal information displays for outdoor navigation has begun at the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone. The displays are manufactured by Nex-T.
The displays integrate with a content management system. They show text, graphics, tables, schedules, icons and multimedia in predefined formats, with content updated in real time. Wide viewing angles make the information clearly visible from different directions. The devices can operate independently or as part of distributed urban transit management systems.
“The product is built around our own liquid-crystal modules manufactured in Moscow. By developing the displays from the ground up, our engineers were able to adapt the hardware for demanding operating conditions, making it resistant to constant vibration, temperature fluctuations and heavy loads. This will help create a unified, intuitive information environment,” said Vladimir Krikushenko, CEO of Nex-T Group.
