Book-Themed IT Exhibition and AI Lectures Launch in St. Petersburg

Historic library space turns into a summer co-working hub, blending tech culture with learning opportunities on artificial intelligence.

In St. Petersburg, the historic V. V. Mayakovsky Library has transformed into a unique summer co-working space. Russian tech company Yandex has set up a modern hub with seating for 65 people, combining workstations, soundproof meeting rooms, and a branded coffee area.

The space reflects the company’s IT culture, with walls adorned with fragments of code, professional jargon, and tech quotes. Visitors can also explore a curated book exhibition on programming, featuring a wide range of literature for both beginners and professionals.

Throughout August 2025, the venue will host a series of educational events: leading experts will give talks on the development of artificial intelligence, while locals can join workshops on building chatbots and discussions about the future of digital technology.

The project is already drawing interest, as more Russians engage with emerging technologies. A recent survey by a domestic tech company revealed that many people are eager to learn—or are already learning—how to work with neural networks.

Online education in the country continues to expand, with more schools offering a growing variety of courses. Most commonly, Russians want to learn how to use neural networks for content creation, business process automation, optimization, and marketing applications.
