A Neural Network Is Helping Russia Extract Oil
In Russia, a neural network is stepping in to support oil production, processing well parameters and redistributing injection flows without costly engineering interventions.

AI-Driven Production Management
Tymen Oil and Gas Institute has developed an AI-powered technology for managing oil production. At a recent meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding's scientific and technical council, project lead Kirill Andonov outlined how the system analyzes well parameters and optimizes water injection without expensive geological or technical procedures. The solution significantly reduces operational costs and lowers the overall cost of oil extraction.
Digital Assistants in the Field
Russia has been improving oil production processes for several years. The earlier ResNeuro software package uses neural networks to identify remaining oil in mature fields that have been producing for decades. The technology also helps operators manage development strategies more efficiently. Its uniqueness has been confirmed by 12 patents, including international ones.
