AI Assistant in Russia Builds Personalized Routes for Passengers
Algorithms are reshaping public transport in Russia: a new AI-powered assistant processes real-time data—from vehicle load to weather conditions—to generate custom travel routes for passengers.

At the Kazan Digital Week forum, Alexander Djioev, CTO of the company Urban Mobility, unveiled how artificial intelligence is transforming passenger transport. The system’s algorithms analyze multiple factors in real time, including how crowded buses and trains are and what the weather looks like, before generating personalized routes.
At the heart of this approach is a passenger AI assistant built on large language models that interact naturally with users. The platform can digest enormous, fragmented streams of data from transport systems, processing them in real time to deliver accurate recommendations.
The system is also designed to learn continuously: the more people use the assistant, the smarter and more relevant its suggestions become. Importantly, the application relies only on anonymized data, ensuring full privacy and safety for passengers.
