Russia Deploys AI to Empower Software Developers
In Russia, a new AI‑powered developer ecosystem is accelerating product creation, reshaping workflows, and bringing advanced automation tools to both engineers and non‑technical specialists.
Russia’s Sber has introduced a comprehensive AI ecosystem for developers, integrating the GigaCode, GigaIDE, and Gitverse tools built on large language models. The ecosystem accelerates product development, shortens hypothesis‑testing cycles, and increases engineering productivity. According to Sber’s internal data, 90 percent of its developers already report higher efficiency, and 45 percent of all code generated by AI is accepted by engineers.
Importantly, the ecosystem is not limited to experts: users can build AI agents without programming experience through low‑code and no‑code platforms.
Beyond programming
Sber’s AI technologies are increasingly used outside traditional development tasks. The models can already analyze business‑process logic, recommend ways to improve customer engagement, and help increase sales. In the near future, AI will be capable of forming a full “product vision” for businesses and proposing scenarios for its evolution.
A global trend
Sber draws on global examples of successful AI integration that have dramatically accelerated production cycles. L’Oréal reduced the creation time of marketing content by 60 percent, Eaton decreased its hardware development cycle from 16 weeks to two, and NotCo sped up the creation of new food formulations severalfold.
AI is also becoming indispensable in science. Sber is developing its own research platform that may eventually function as an electronic scientist — autonomously analyzing data and even conducting experiments.
