Russian Messenger MAX Surpasses 100 Million Users
The number of registered users on the national messaging platform now rivals the population of Vietnam.

Russia’s digital platform MAX continues to expand its audience. More than 100 million users have now registered on the service, while daily active users have reached 70 million. Messenger users send more than one billion messages every day. The system also handles around 28 million calls daily.
Since the platform launched, users have sent 62 billion messages, while the total number of calls has exceeded three billion.
Short video messages have also become popular. Users have recorded and sent more than 470 million “video circles.”
A Platform for Communication
A growing ecosystem of channels and communities is developing within the messenger. Authors, companies and users have already created about 2.2 million public and private channels. The number of group chats continues to grow as well and has now surpassed 25.5 million.
User activity suggests the platform is gradually evolving from a messaging tool into a space for publishing content, building communities and interacting with brands.
MAX was designed as a multifunctional platform for user services. The application supports audio and video calls, messaging, voice messages and the transfer of large files.
Users can also send money transfers and follow information channels. Mini-applications and chatbots operate inside the platform, providing access to various services. The application is included in Russia’s registry of domestic software. MAX is available in mobile, desktop and web versions.
