The “University of Entrepreneurs” program aims to merge education with practical innovation. Its mission is to develop products capable of transforming urban life and strengthening Russia’s technological sovereignty. The initiative highlights Russia’s model of integrating universities, industry, and government to produce tangible results, positioning it as a potential blueprint for other countries.

The program is being implemented by the Moscow government and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Twenty specialized workshops have already started, where more than 300 students will spend a year developing cutting-edge solutions. Classes are held across eight of the capital’s leading universities.

“Moscow’s government and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives are launching this program in strict accordance with the direction that was given by President Vladimir Putin. Its goal is to unite science, business, and students to create innovations that will change the lives of our cities and the country,” said Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

What sets the program apart is its strong focus on practice. Students won’t just study theory—they will work under the guidance of experienced entrepreneurs on projects in critical fields: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biomedicine, smart transport and logistics, new materials, and foodtech.
