Russia Launches AI Service to Streamline Procurement

A new AI-powered tool on Moscow’s supplier portal automatically summarizes contracts, saving businesses time and speeding up decisions.

Moscow’s supplier portal has introduced an artificial intelligence service that generates summaries of contracts and their conditions, according to mos.ru.

Roman Urnyshev, head of the Moscow Department of Information Technologies, noted that around 800 quotation sessions are published daily on the platform, each with unique delivery terms and participation requirements. The new AI tool is designed to cut down the time suppliers spend reviewing documentation, helping them quickly decide whether to participate in mini-auctions.

The system is based on generative AI trained on a large language model of typical contract data. It analyzes uploaded agreements and provides condensed summaries of key parameters, including the subject of the contract, pricing, supplier requirements, timelines, and delivery and payment terms.

The neural network works across all quotation sessions and automatically generates summaries within an hour of a procurement’s publication. To access the function, users simply open the “Documents” tab in the desired session and upload the contract file for instant analysis.
