Russia Launches Online Calculator to Measure Business Readiness for AI

Full-cycle AI integrator K2 NeuroTech, part of the K2Tech group, has introduced a free online AI maturity calculator. The digital tool helps business leaders assess how prepared their organizations are to deploy artificial intelligence.

The new IT product is expected to accelerate AI adoption across Russian industries, including manufacturing, retail, services, and other sectors of the economy.

Assesss Readiness in Just 10 Minutes

According to the developer, the online AI maturity calculator can evaluate a company's current level of readiness for artificial intelligence adoption and provide tailored recommendations for improvement in just 10 to 15 minutes. Among other factors, it analyzes the organization's IT infrastructure. The AI maturity calculator is available at the developer’s site.

Users answer just 10 questions covering the core elements of AI readiness, including IT infrastructure, data quality and availability, internal expertise, and the maturity of business processes. The calculator then generates a quantitative AI maturity score together with a prioritized action plan, including recommendations for infrastructure improvements. Organizations can use the results when budgeting for infrastructure upgrades, preparing investment plans, conducting strategic planning sessions, and building AI development roadmaps.

Designed for Beginners and Experienced AI Users Alike

According to the developers, the online calculator was created to support organizations at different stages of AI adoption. It is intended both for companies that are only beginning to explore AI technologies and for those that have already launched individual AI projects and now want to move toward a more systematic enterprise-wide strategy.

The new digital tool enables businesses to perform an initial self-assessment and determine whether their existing IT infrastructure is ready to support on-premises AI deployments and larger computational workloads. Demand for such a solution could be significant. According to K2 NeuroTech's estimates, the share of Russian companies with approved AI strategies has increased 2.7-fold over the past three years.

The next two to three years are expected to become a period of widespread AI testing and evaluation. Many initiatives have already begun but remain stalled at the pilot stage for a variety of reasons, including insufficient computing capacity, the lack of a mature software stack, incomplete MLOps processes (the operational pipeline for developing and managing machine learning models), and cybersecurity requirements. In many cases, organizations begin implementing AI without fully understanding whether their infrastructure can support resource-intensive workloads or host AI systems securely within the corporate perimeter.

Better Services, Smarter Investments

According to research published by ComNews in March 2026, more than 90% of Russian companies have yet to achieve organization-wide returns from AI adoption and remain in the experimental or pilot phase. The AI maturity calculator could accelerate AI deployment across sectors ranging from manufacturing and retail to logistics and services. As business processes become more efficient, organizations should be able to deliver faster and higher-quality services to customers and citizens alike. The new tool can also reduce unnecessary spending by helping companies avoid unjustified investments in servers, software, and systems integration services while identifying shortages in computing resources or technical expertise before large-scale AI projects begin.

Developing and deploying tools like this in Russia could improve the effectiveness of AI investments while stimulating demand for domestically developed servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity products, and systems integration services. Looking ahead, the digital product could also find opportunities in countries that place a high priority on technological sovereignty and local data storage, including markets across the CIS, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Its long-term success, however, will depend on localization of its assessment methodology, the availability of local integration partners, and compliance with national regulations.

Today, businesses need a clear understanding of how prepared their corporate infrastructure really is for AI deployment. That means evaluating whether the IT environment can support AI workloads, manage data effectively, and meet security and data localization requirements. The AI maturity calculator helps organizations identify, in just 10 to 15 minutes, where their key constraints lie – whether in infrastructure, data, or business processes – and build a practical roadmap for moving from pilot projects to production-scale AI deployment
