Advanced Transport Technologies Presented in Russia

Russia has unveiled a series of breakthrough transport technologies that span aircraft engines, autonomous systems, and next‑generation certification platforms—reshaping how the country approaches mobility, safety, and infrastructure.

At the XIX International Transport Forum in Moscow, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reviewed a broad range of innovations that now define the future of the nation’s transport ecosystem. The showcase included next‑generation Russian‑made aircraft engines, new aviation platforms, and advanced digital systems for certification and unmanned transport management.

Speaking at the plenary session focused on balancing public and private interests in transport infrastructure, Mishustin emphasized the strategic importance of these innovations. Among the most anticipated developments is the new federal aviation certification system “Aviasert,” scheduled for rollout at the end of 2025. The platform is designed to make certification procedures more transparent and significantly reduce processing time—key factors for accelerating domestic aircraft production.

Flying in the Tango Rhythm

The Tango training aircraft, presented by S7, became one of the most discussed exhibits. The four‑seat aircraft, entirely manufactured from Russian materials, is engineered for pilot‑training programs across the country.

A Unified System for Drones

Mishustin also highlighted developments in unmanned aviation. A joint booth by GLONASS JSC and the State Transport Leasing Company demonstrated an integrated platform for identification and monitoring of unmanned vehicles. The system will track drone usage across regions, collecting data on flight patterns and intensity. Another project showcased satellite‑to‑drone integration designed to support AI‑powered autopilot functions.

The uniqueness of these technologies lies in their interconnectedness: Russia is developing not just individual components but a full technological ecosystem—from physical hardware such as engines to high‑level digital platforms that manage and certify transport operations.

The Transport of Russia forum served as a central platform for these presentations, gathering more than 100 industry leaders and 4,500 participants to discuss the future of the nation’s rapidly evolving transport infrastructure.
