Russia Launches Automated Production of Mineral Powder

Russia has launched a fully automated mineral powder production line, a development that strengthens industrial supply chains and expands technological capabilities across key economic sectors.

At a concrete plant in Amur Region, a fully automated production line for mineral powder has begun operation. The project was made possible through state support, which enabled the enterprise to acquire modern equipment on favorable terms. The new system plays an important role for major Russian industries as well as for partner countries.

According to the company’s General Director, Alexander Ovchinnikov, the system’s control processes require almost no manual labor, as reported by smotrim.ru. This is not the first time the plant has successfully used state-backed financing tools. Earlier, the introduction of digital transformation principles — supported by national projects — helped the company significantly reduce operational costs.

A New Production Chain

As noted by Tatiana Velichko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Amur Region, the launch of the line produced a comprehensive positive effect. A new regional production chain has formed: the output of one enterprise becomes a component for another, strengthening the interconnectedness of local manufacturers.

The mineral powder produced by the new line has a wide range of applications. In road construction, it increases the durability of asphalt concrete pavement, extending its lifespan. In agriculture, it improves soil quality and is used in livestock feed formulations. Because of its diverse uses, the product holds strategic importance not only for large Russian infrastructure projects such as the Amur Gas Chemical Complex and the Vostochny Cosmodrome, but also for potential export to international markets.
