In Russia, Housing Inspectors Will Communicate Directly With Citizens Through the MAX Messenger

Russia is transitioning nearly one million residential group chats into the MAX national messenger, creating a secure, fraud‑resistant communication channel between citizens, housing inspectors, and utilities.

A Nationwide Transition to MAX

By the end of the year, all residential building chats in Russia are expected to migrate to the MAX messenger. According to the Ministry of Construction, representatives of state housing supervision agencies will become the owners and administrators of these new chats. This will ensure stable communication regardless of external circumstances.

The transition to MAX will cover nearly one million buildings and will allow official chats to operate independently of changes in property‑management companies. It will also provide fast, uninterrupted communication between residents, utility services, and housing‑oversight authorities.

The ministry noted that no additional action will be required from residents: connecting to the new chats will be simple, and the interface and functionality will remain familiar.

Secure Communication for Housing Services

The MAX platform was chosen because of its built‑in protection systems against fraud and data leaks. The chats include tools to detect suspicious activity, as well as industry‑specific services that can improve communication related to housing and utilities.

The Ministry of Construction emphasized that the national messenger was originally designed as a secure communication environment, making it suitable for official residential channels.
