Russian Messenger MAX Integrates Regional Government Services in Tatarstan

Users can now pay taxes, submit utility readings, and book medical appointments directly through the national messaging app.

Russia’s national messenger MAX has taken another step toward becoming a full-service digital platform by integrating Tatarstan’s government services into the app. The new feature connects users to the regional “Uslugi RT” (Services of the Republic of Tatarstan) platform, offering access to a range of everyday public services without leaving the chat interface.

Once users sync their accounts, they gain access to a mini-app inside MAX where they can submit utility meter readings, pay taxes, government fees, and daycare bills, as well as book doctor appointments and manage other official tasks.

From Messaging to Public Services

The update reflects MAX’s growing role as a socially oriented super app in Russia’s digital ecosystem. Earlier this year, two regional government chatbots were introduced in the messenger, including one for Samara Oblast, which helps residents navigate municipal services, provides guidance for various life situations, and enables direct communication with local authorities.

By embedding public services into everyday digital tools, Russia aims to make government interactions faster, simpler, and more accessible for citizens — all within a single, secure platform.
