Russian University Develops AI Assistant to Help Doctors Pass Accreditation Exams
The “InfoMedica AI” chatbot provides instant access to structured medical knowledge and personalized exam preparation tools.
Russia’s Sechenov University has unveiled an AI-powered assistant designed to help medical professionals prepare for certification and accreditation exams, which doctors must complete every five years. The system, called InfoMedica AI, was developed by the university’s Methodological Center for Specialist Accreditation and is based on a vast digital library of verified medical resources.
Available as both a mobile app and a web platform, the assistant allows doctors, interns, residents, and educators across Russia to conduct mock exams, access up-to-date information, and study complex clinical scenarios using real-world cases.
Structured Knowledge for Self-Assessment
Within the chat interface, users can describe a clinical case and receive a detailed, evidence-based response that includes diagnostic suggestions and treatment methods, all supported by citations from medical literature. The goal is to make the process of mastering and validating professional knowledge more accessible and efficient.
Each year, up to 380,000 medical professionals use the university’s testing resources. With InfoMedica AI, they now have instant access to structured, authoritative medical data, enabling them to study more effectively, refine clinical reasoning skills, and keep their qualifications up to date in a rapidly evolving field.
