Sechenov University Launches Digital Training Platform for Pharmacists
It allows students to learn how to prepare complex medicines in a virtual environment.

Sechenov University has launched a new educational platform called Tsifrovaya retseptura. It allows students to refine their skills in preparing complex individualized medicines in a virtual environment.
In addition to preparing medicines, the platform helps future medical professionals correctly write prescriptions and identify errors in completed documents.
"The platform brings together educational, reference and training materials within a single digital environment," said Elena Smolyarchuk, head of the Department of Pharmacology at the A. P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy. "It includes a digital textbook, video lectures, a medicinal products reference guide, and a database of adapted extemporaneous formulations (prepared to a prescription) — individual medicines that have no industrially manufactured equivalents."
The specialist added that this approach allows students not only to study every aspect of preparing medicines. The technologies also help students immediately identify their mistakes and analyze them.
