Robotic surgery is quickly becoming the new standard in cancer treatment across Moscow. According to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city’s hospitals carried out over 2,000 high-tech operations with robotic complexes between January and July 2025—already equal to the total number performed in 2024. The surge underscores how rapidly advanced techniques are being integrated into Moscow’s healthcare system.

Robotic systems dramatically expand surgeons’ capabilities. With precision on a near-microscopic level and minimal trauma to patients, they make it possible to perform complex procedures once considered too risky or impossible.

For patients, the benefits are clear: faster recovery and a quicker return to normal life. This shift is reshaping the very philosophy of oncology care, making it safer, more technologically advanced, and increasingly patient-centered.

Muscovites can access these cutting-edge treatments at the city’s leading oncology centers.

The rapid growth of robotic surgery reaffirms Moscow’s position as a global leader in modern medicine, offering high-tech healthcare that is both advanced and accessible.
