AI Summer School Launches in Tomsk for Next-Gen Researchers

Backed by top Russian universities and tech firms, the program dives into cutting-edge AI with real-world applications across science and industry.
Tomsk has kicked off its “Summer with AIRI” school, a hands-on artificial intelligence training program for students and young researchers. Organized by Tomsk State University, the AI Research Institute (AIRI), and Avito, the program brings together 80 participants from across Russia to explore state-of-the-art AI technologies, including large language models and generative algorithms.
The curriculum goes beyond theory, focusing on practical AI applications in chemistry, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Lectures and workshops are led by experts from AIRI, TSU, Moscow State University, MIPT, HSE, Skoltech, and other leading research institutions.
Organizers say the school offers young scientists a fast-track into the digital economy by fostering dialogue between early-career researchers and industry veterans. Graduates of the program will be equipped to contribute to homegrown AI solutions across various sectors.
