Yamal-Nenets Region to Create Unified Electronic Archive System
Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Governor Dmitry Artyukhov has signed a decree establishing a government information system for storing electronic documents.

According to the decree, published on the regional government’s website, the system is intended to modernize archival operations across the region and will be called the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Electronic Document Archive.
The new digital archive will handle the region’s electronic records throughout their lifecycle, from intake and cataloging to storage and eventual deletion. The system will have two components: one connecting individual government agencies’ archives and another serving as a region-wide repository.
Developers are also putting a particular focus on data security. The system is designed to protect documents against hacking, tampering, and accidental deletion, while electronic signatures and specialized markers will be used to continuously verify their authenticity.
The regional archives service will oversee the platform. The agency will develop operating rules and gradually connect regional government bodies and state-run institutions to the system. The project will be funded from the regional budget.
