Smart Cameras Help ENT Doctors Monitor Patients in Omsk Hospital

Doctors in the ear, nose, and throat department of Hospital No. 6 in Omsk have begun using smart imaging cameras that improve diagnostics and help patients better understand their medical condition.
The high-resolution devices capture detailed images of the ears, throat, and nasal passages and connect directly to physicians' smartphones. The cameras stream and store the images they collect, making it easier for doctors to monitor how diseases progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment over time.
"Now physicians can do more than describe a patient's condition – they can show it directly on a screen. Patients can see enlarged images of their ENT organs for themselves, making communication with their doctor much more transparent," hospital representatives said.
Hospital officials say the introduction of smart cameras is one of the key elements of the Omsk Region's broader strategy to digitalize its healthcare system.
